Twenty years ago, we used to sell like hotcakes a flexible or semi-flexible cable, 14, 15, or 16 mm, in coils of 50 or 40 meters, well greased. Our Dacia at that time sometimes carried even 40 coils to a client. Unloaded early in the morning from the truck, stored in the garage by the street, then loaded, invoiced, and delivered to the client one by one. It was cheap, and people were used to it.
Then we started cutting the cable to lengths as requested by the client. Still in large coils, loosely wrapped, tied with wire to prevent unraveling.
Technology made its mark, and it didn’t take long for clients to get used to a new cable – in a new presentation: the coils were tightly wound, orderly, wrapped in foil, and nicely labeled. But who replaced that flexible cable? The current… famous… appreciated by everyone…
