At COTRACO, we are attentive to the impact our activities have on the environment. That is why we are constantly looking for new ways to contribute to a cleaner community with less waste.
A constant concern is trying to limit the amount of packaging we put into circulation. With the help of our suppliers from Paton, Ukraine, the electrodes we deliver are no longer wrapped in plastic foil but are tied with binding tape, which facilitates the unloading and transportation of the goods.
Furthermore, in support of the national campaign to increase the level of recycling and valorization of waste from packaging, we have proposed, with the help of our partners, to recover wooden pallets and reuse them for deliveries. The wooden drums for traction cables are repaired and reused.
Last but not least, our colleague Nea’ Cornel collects hundreds of kilograms of cardboard and paper from packaging every month, as well as plastic waste, which he delivers to collection centers on behalf of our company.
We are happy to have employees and colleagues who support us with their actions in our mission for a cleaner environment. We are proud of our colleagues Marius Giurgiu and Andrea Serbanati, who are concerned with selective collection and apply this method in their daily lives.
We also have colleagues who prefer to give up the convenience of driving and share the commute with other colleagues to limit the traffic congestion and the negative impact that more cars in circulation can have on the environment.
Social responsibility is integrated into our organizational culture and daily activities, becoming a lifestyle that more and more colleagues and collaborators are adopting.
