Sliding hook/choker wire rope sling

Ciochinare (according to DEX) comes from “ciochină” – a strap used to tie something. In forestry operations, towing ciochinars with an eye at the end are frequently used for towing logs with winches or skylines. The method of securing and pulling is very efficient, fast, and safe. In the same product category are also CHOKERS (sokers, jokers, etc.) – some forged sliding end elements.

Components of a ciochinar: Binding cable: made by bushing in variants: Eye-thimble, Eye-Eye, from galvanized cable construction 6×19 or 6x19Seale, or SUPERKOMPAKT Cable diameter: 10 – 11 – 12 – 13 or 14 mm; length: 1 – 5 meters/piece The sliding hook can be with or without a safety ring; it is mounted on the cable between the end elements, allowing free sliding between the ends. To secure the trunk, a loop is made around it, and the cable end (with a simple eye or thimble) is fixed in the hook. When pulling from the other end, the loop tightens around the trunk, and it can be easily pulled.
