The fair in Bra\u0219ov has ended, and we are left with a bitter taste, of course, from the countless sugar-free coffees we savored with friends and future partners. We learned a lot from each other and…<\/p>\n

Which fair, you ask? The fair in Bra\u0219ov, Expowood, which took place on the old “Rulmentul” platform. The fair hosted 84 exhibitors representing 220 international brands over an area of 4000 sqm.<\/p>\n

It was a successful fair; we returned with many business cards and many contracts… Does it matter? NO! The most important things we returned with are the friendships we forged and the experience. We are looking forward to Expowood 2017.<\/p>\n

We don’t want to end before telling you a few words about us.<\/p>\n

On April 19, 2016, as part of the “Different Week” program dedicated to young preschoolers from BAMBI Extended Program Kindergarten in S\u00e2ngeorgiu de Mure\u0219, an open day was held, during which children from two groups visited the chain factory of the COTRACO Group of Companies, and at the end, they made their own chain from colorful paper strips in the COTRACO workshops.<\/p>\n

The event was highly appreciated by the little ones, who in the end received a piece of galvanized steel wire chain in exchange for the pieces of chain they made from colored paper. This allowed them to understand how chains are made through a simple practical exercise.<\/p>\n

The children were delighted by the seriousness with which they were treated but were unhappy with the noise of the machines that cut and welded the wires.<\/p>\n

This action is part of a series of events through which the COTRACO Group of Companies aims to strengthen its position as an active participant in the local community life, supporting children through educational activities.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On Thursday, February 5th, the 5th edition of the Transilvania Cotraco Basketball Cup for children kicks off, the largest competition at this level in Romania. The organizers, the sports equipment company SportLife and the basketball club ACS Gladius T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219, along with the main partners, Cotraco and the T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219 City Hall, made a brief presentation of the competition which grows from edition to edition. At the competition held under the aegis of the Romanian Basketball Federation, this edition will also have an international character, with teams from Germany, including those from Munich and Hockenheim, as well as the most renowned youth teams from Bulgaria and Hungary. Joining them will be the strongest youth basketball teams from Romania, clubs with hundreds of registered players, making this the most powerful youth basketball competition in Romania. More than 40 teams, boys and girls, will line up at the start, competing in two periods. Between February 5th and 9th, Babybasket teams will compete, with 14 boys’ teams and 4 girls’ teams. From February 9th, Minibasket teams will enter the competition, with 20 boys’ teams and 6 girls’ teams.<\/p>\n

Hopes for a complete success from everyone Before the start, the organizers and sponsors of the competition expressed their conviction that this competition will benefit everyone. “I congratulate the organizers for their efforts to continue this competition for children. Five years is not a short time, and we have joined in two years ago to support this competition, which grows year by year, and I thank the Cotraco company for joining us in supporting it. Even if it is not to everyone’s liking, we can demonstrate that the sporting life in T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219 goes on because sport is practiced by more and more children. I am delighted to meet parents or grandparents on the street hurrying not to be late with their children or grandchildren for matches. This is very encouraging, and we will strive to ensure these efforts are not in vain and results will appear over time,” said Vice Mayor Claudiu Maior.<\/p>\n

For the second edition, the main sponsor is Cotraco, represented by its administrator, Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu, a great basketball lover, as he has stated on several occasions. “First of all, thank you for giving us the opportunity to be partners in a children’s competition, such as the Transilvania Basketball Cup. I am convinced that this second edition since we became partners of the competition will be even more successful than the previous one, which everyone was very satisfied with. We know very well that sport among children is one of the most beneficial activities; they are the ones who need to be supported, and through our support, we want to contribute to the development of this discipline, which I personally love and practiced myself in childhood, even if it does not show now. I invite all the people of Mure\u0219 to join us during the current competition and to join us in future editions,” said Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu.<\/p>\n

ACS Gladius T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219 Vice President Vlad Pora was very pleased with the number of participating teams and confident in the prospects of the teams he represents. “We present ourselves at the start with at least one team in each category. We are the best-represented club at this edition, considering that the number of children registered at our club has increased to about 150. We are happy to see that with each generation we have managed to fill the gaps we had in previous years in some groups. Our club’s policy is to grow generations of young local basketball players, but results are not currently paramount. Nevertheless, we have hopes for good standings in the 2005 and 2006 groups, both girls and boys. I am somewhat curious to see how the 2007 teams will evolve, where we also have children from 2008 in the team, who have just started playing, but we can grow in value on this occasion. I believe it will be a very beneficial tournament for us, especially since we measure our strength with all the top teams at this level in Romania. This will matter a lot before the National Minibasket League, which will take place in Cluj this summer,” said Vlad Pora.<\/p>\n

An “investment” for T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219 SportLife Group Manager, M\u0103rg\u0103rit Amza, also expressed his conviction that this competition will bring benefits not only to Mure\u0219 basketball but also to the city. “I also thank everyone who joined us in organizing this competition. Our company has always been supportive of youth sports, and I want to mention that by encouraging sports for children, such competitions can bring various benefits to the city. Becoming international, in addition to the created image, we can consider that alongside the hundreds of children come hundreds of parents and team supporters, which can only bring benefits to the city,” emphasized M\u0103rg\u0103rit Amza on the economic side.<\/p>\n

Mascot “Ghi\u021b\u0103,” a familiar presence If the previous edition featured the competition’s mascot, the little elephant “Ghi\u021b\u0103,” which had unexpected success, especially among participants, it could not be missing from this edition. Although a few kilos heavier, explainable after “a year spent in the closet,” as Cotraco sponsor Mrs. Mihaela B\u0103rbulescu excused, the mascot was “suspected” of having escaped from the closet in the meantime, as there was no dust, and it was in good physical shape. On Friday, April 17, 2015, in a festive atmosphere, the winners of the promotional campaign “Cotraco Sends You on Vacation” were awarded.<\/p>\n

The “Europa” restaurant in T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219 hosted an event on Saturday, December 20th, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the establishment of Cotraco Rom S\u00e2ngeorgiu de Mure\u0219, a member of the Cotraco group of companies, led by Mihaela and Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu. The event was attended by the Cotraco team, which Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu likened to a large and united family, as well as the closest collaborators and clients, the most important of whom were awarded Certificates of Excellence by Mihaela and Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu.<\/p>\n

Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu: Today we celebrate ten years since the founding of Cotraco Rom, which mainly deals with the distribution of traction cables, industrial chains, pipes, welding electrodes, which are materials primarily intended for the heavy, extractive, and forestry industries.<\/p>\n

Rep.: How has the company evolved from its inception to the present?<\/p>\n

B.B.: Initially, we were a small, garage-type company, and I was working with my wife. Currently, we are a large and potential-filled company, and our group of companies has over 100 employees and has attracted over 5 million euros in European funds.<\/p>\n

Rep.: How would you characterize these ten years?<\/p>\n

B.B.: Growth. It has been a crazy period, with ups and downs, but mostly ups, and we have continued to focus on our work to make things even better.<\/p>\n

Rep.: Do you have a message for your clients and collaborators?<\/p>\n

B.B.: We especially thank them for their help and support. This event is an opportunity for us to honor them as they constantly honor us and help us with what they do best.<\/p>\n

The business event, organized by URS Romania, a founding member of FORTIC (Forum of Professionals in Testing, Inspection, Certification), was held at Hotel Plaza in T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219, Pia\u021ba Trandafirilor no. 46-47. Organized with the aim of creating a professional, objective framework, the event sought to facilitate an authentic exchange of information and experience among professionals in the fields of testing, inspection, and certification, by sharing the “secrets” of effective management in an accessible, interactive format.<\/p>\n

After welcoming the guests at 9:30 AM, Sales Director Mr. Claudiu Aiftimiei presented URS Romania and FORTIC, giving the floor to Mr. Ha\u0219egan Ioan, General Manager of Wesssling Romania, who spoke about Developing a Business Strategy, addressing essential aspects.<\/p>\n

Next was Mr. Bogdan B\u0103rbulescu, General Manager of COTRACO ROM, who presented The Most Efficient Client Approach Techniques, followed by a coffee break. In the second part of the event, Mr. C\u0103lin Sarchiz, General Manager of URS Romania, presented Personnel Evaluation in the Efficient Monthly Evaluation System. At noon, Mr. Marius Pop, CEO and founder of DIRECTSPARK, presented a case study on How to Grow Your Business Online. After the presentations, the event moderator, Mr. Claudiu Aiftimiei, declared the conference closed, with the period between 12:45 PM and 1:00 PM dedicated to networking feedback.<\/p>\n
