They are frequently used in the construction of bridges, ships, in shipyards, and in the manufacturing of pressure vessels. The electrodes can be used for welding in any position.<\/p>\n<p>Basic-coated electrodes have two remarkable characteristics: a) high impact bending strength, especially at low temperatures; b) better crack resistance compared to other types.
